1. Blood Sample:
Sample Type: A small amount of blood (depends on the test type - 3ml to 9ml) is drawn from a vein to special designed tubes (EDTA tube, Heparin Tube, Citrate Tube etc) by our phlebotomists.
Fasting Requirements: Depending on the test, fasting for 8-12 hours might be required to get more accurate results. For the routine blood test like blood glucose, cholesterol levels, liver function, kidney function, and more, it is highly recommended fasting for 8-12 hours. To minimize the fasting hours it is recommended to give your blood drawn in the morning times. For genetic analysis there is no fasting requirement.
Collection Type: You can choose between visiting our clinic or requesting a visit by our skilled phlebotomist.
2. Urine Sample:
Sample Type: A sample of your urine is collected in a sterile container.
Fasting Requirements: Generally there is no fasting required for urine samples, however for some routine tests and to get accurate results it is highly recommended to avoid drinking alcohol, coffee, tea or other drinks.
Collection Type: You can collect the sample at your room just before our courier come to collect your sample or in our clinic's restroom facilities.
